G-force
results from acceleration, not absolute speed. Provided the acceleration was
low the astronauts would be fine. It took them several minutes to accelerate
from a standstill to 17,500mph for the parking orbit, then another several
minutes to accelerate from 17,500 mph to 25,000 mph to head to the Moon. The
resultant g-force was as such fairly low. If they had gone instantly from a
standtill to 25,000mph then yes, they would be killed by the g-force.
